| This group will work on issues relating to communication between building automation and control systems and utility providers with a new focus on Smart Grid technologies. |

| This group is addressing a standard meter interface as well as energy profiles (for load, generation, and storage status). Other issues include definition of requests and responses to and from the building to grid-side service providers, and extension of BACnet to serve new control strategies.
